An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a registered nurse (Mental Health) to join our highly committed mental health nursing team as a full time Lecturer. 

The successful applicant will assist in the development and delivery of the mental health curricula including the pre-registration programme, post graduate studies and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will teach across a range of courses and will be required to act as course and/or module leader. The role will involve travel to clinical and University sites across the North West.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be educated to at least degree level. A master’s degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. Utilising planning and organisational skills, communication and interpersonal skills the successful applicant will be able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Extensive contemporary practice experience is essential supported by teaching experience and you will have a keen interest in developments in the field. Experience of mentoring, assessing and supervising student nurses in practice is required. You’ll be committed to the success of your students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas.
