The Corporate Systems Development team within the Directorate of Digital & Information Services requires an Analyst Developer to develop, maintain and support University applications. The post holder must have expert SQL knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Business Intelligence reporting and dashboards as well as exposure to large scale Data Warehouses. Ideally the post holder should have knowledge in Crystal Business Intelligence reporting and Oracle Forms/Reports. The post holder should have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
Experience of building interfaces or migrating to Corporate Business Application suites is highly desirable. Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint, CRM (ideally MS Dynamics), PHP, UML or XML would also be an advantage.
In addition to development, the post holder will be required to analyse business processes and produce detailed documentation and specifications for solutions to support the University business.
The post holder will be required to work on complex projects within a busy team with more than ten other developers and database administrators; work closely with other teams in IT, and frequently liaise with a wide variety of customers.
The post holder should be educated to degree-level or have other equivalent qualifications and have demonstrable experience of developing applications as well as experience of producing detailed application specifications.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 scale (£40,792 - £48,676 per annum) with placement according to qualifications and experience.
