The Business School is in an exciting and ambitious phase of its development. While proud of the University’s 500-year history, the Business School is a core part of the University’s plans for the future and is committed to increasing its profile. As an integral part of its growth strategy, the School has initiated a plan to earn accreditation of the School from the three main international accrediting agencies in the coming years.  The Business School comprises several related disciplines: Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Management, and Real Estate.

The Business School is looking to make a number of appointments at Chair level to support the launch and development of its Centre of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. We welcome applications from outstanding scholars with a distinguished track record and a passion for developing researchers pursuing a common research agenda in this area. The position is part-time and available for three years in the first instance and renewable subject to review by the Dean and Head of School.

We are looking to appoint internationally recognised scholars who combine research excellence and a high-impact research agenda with an enthusiasm to encourage and support research capacity building within the School. The successful candidates will work with colleagues in the School towards developing a strong international reputation in entrepreneurship and innovation that is aligned with the School’s mission and vision.

The School has the ambition to launch a Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation which, alongside a practice impact and student-focused programme of activities, seeks to develop a research agenda that captures the entire entrepreneurship process from ideation to execution and scale-up and international new ventures. We are seeking to appoint across a range of areas: technology entrepreneurship, including creativity and innovation; entrepreneurial finance and venture capital; global entrepreneurship & International business, including international new ventures and global value chains as well as high-growth start-ups and ‘born global’ firms.

A highly competitive remuneration package will be available for exceptional candidates considered for appointment at the Professorial level.

This is appointment is available for three years in the first instance to support the establishment of a Centre for Entrepreneurship.
