Role Description

Cranfield Management Development Limited (CMDL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cranfield University. We already have a prestigious international portfolio, but have also recently won several exciting contracts, including the delivery of leadership development for the 2022 World Cup Committee.

CMDL largely supports a portfolio of customised and open enrolment executive programmes offered through Cranfield Executive Development (CED). This includes partnering and collaboration with Cranfield’s School of Management Faculty and Administrative departments.

Our consequent steep growth trajectory requires us to source several talented individuals to support the management and execution of these programmes, while also helping us to secure further business and maintain our growth.

To support this work we are currently looking to recruit several credible, influential and proactive individuals who relish the opportunity to bring world-class development interventions to global clients.

The role offers the opportunity to work internationally across a range of sectors. Cranfield is committed to being client focussed; putting the client at the heart of everything we do. This brings successful applicants the opportunity to work in a variety of ways with a wide range of organisations, sectors, and individuals.

Our customers are both external (delegates and their client sponsors) and internal (academic staff, associates, and other Executive Development Directors & colleagues).  This role will provide robust execution of learning interventions that delight client sponsors and delegates alike. The successful applicant will also help win new business, and work with clients to identify new opportunities.

To be successful in this role you will require a degree level qualification (or equivalent) and previous experience of programme management and execution, key account management, balancing of multiple programmes and priorities, and success in winning new business through proposal writing and pitching.

It is essential that the post holder is strongly literate and numerate, can think on their feet, has the resilience to work independently, and has the credibility to influence senior executives and nurture relationships.

For an informal discussion, please contact David Deegan, Executive Development Director and Director of Client Resourcing on (T); +44 (0)1234 75 4470 or (E); david.deegan@cranfield.ac.uk

At Cranfield, we value Diversity and Inclusion, and aim to create and maintain a culture in which everyone can work and study together harmoniously with dignity and respect and realise their full potential. We actively consider flexible working options such as part-time, compressed or flexible hours and/or an element of homeworking, and commit to exploring the possibilities for each role.

Cranfield is world-leading in its contribution to global innovation. With our emphasis on the aerospace, agrifood, defence and security, environmental technology, leadership and management, manufacturing and transport systems sectors, we have changed the way society thinks, works and learns.

We generate and transform knowledge, translating it to the benefit of society. Our partners, from micro SMEs to the largest blue-chip multinationals, from governments across the world to NGOs and charities, tell us this is what they value about Cranfield.

Our work informs policy for governments and produces new technologies and products for the world of commerce.
