Part-time: 21 hours per week; Fixed term: 6 months

AC1: £9,013.80 per annum (pro-rated from £30,046 FTE per annum)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term Research Assistant to join the Centre for Environmental Research group within the School of Health and Life Sciences at the University of the West of Scotland.

The School of Health & Life Sciences is a multidisciplinary School, with a diverse range of programmes delivered at our Lanarkshire, Paisley, Ayr, Dumfries and London campuses with a combined total of around 6000 students. Teaching and Research is at the heart of all of the School’s activities.

Applicants should have an Honours degree in Zoology, or a related field and have experience of doing fieldwork. Must have a full clean driving license.  The successful applicant will be responsible for collecting water and biological samples from various sites across the Central belt and analysing levels of microplastics in collected samples.
