Role Description

Cranfield is an exclusively postgraduate university that is a global leader for education and transformational research in technology and management, with close links to industry and business and an active and influential network of alumni and friends around the globe.

In this role, you will be in the privileged position of helping us to build relationships with some of the most prominent and influential individuals within our community. These are fascinating business leaders and entrepreneurs, whose shops you go to, restaurants you eat in and technology you use every day. They all share a strong connection with Cranfield University and have the power to make a difference to our University through philanthropy.

We are currently looking for a Regular Giving Manager to join the Alumni Relations and Development team and be a key part of increasing philanthropic support to the University. You will strengthen relationships with regular donors and using a variety of different channels, such as direct mail, telephone, email and social media, you will be responsible for raising awareness about the importance of philanthropic giving to the University and encouraging increased support through regular monthly or one-off contributions to the Annual Fund.  You will analyse data to develop and refine our regular giving strategy and oversee the processing, recording and acknowledgement of regular gifts.  You will work closely with the Development Managers to coordinate activity around high net worth alumni and to maximize opportunities to develop the major gift pipeline through the regular giving programme.

You will be positive, enthusiastic and creative, with experience of developing strategy and delivering results against targets in a similar fundraising or sales and marketing environment.  Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, you will be able to influence people at the highest level and will have experience of creating and managing multi-channel fundraising or marketing campaigns.  You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to analyse and interpret data to inform strategy.  You will be passionate about Higher Education with a good understanding of philanthropy and charitable giving.
