Following recognition of our excellent research in REF 2014, excellent student satisfaction in the 2018 NSS (ranked 7th nationally for Student Satisfaction) and strong undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment, we are seeking to make a further appointment at Senior Lecturer level to expand our expertise in the area of Immunology. This post is available on a Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) role profile and we would particularly welcome applications from individuals who :
Can teach multiple themes in the broad field of immunology including disease mechanisms, immune function and how the immune system can be used as a therapeutic target
Are enthusiastic about engaging with and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at BSc, MBio, MSc and PhD level including supervision of research projects at all levels.
We would particularly welcome applications from individuals who are Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered or are currently a member of the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) to be able to support teaching of relevant clinical knowledge of the Biomedical Science professions to our students. Our BSc and MBio Biomedical Science programmes are IBMS registered.
