Liverpool John Moores University is seeking an executive level senior leader to lead in the development and delivery of the university’s people and culture strategies.

Working directly to the Vice-Chancellor and as a member of the university’s Executive Leadership Team, the Director, Human Resources, will provide strategic leadership for all people management matters across the university, ensuring that LJMU values are embedded not just in policy and processes but in practice, and therefore in the experienced reality of our staff.

With over 2,400 staff and a student community of 23,300, this is a lively and vibrant organisation based in the heart of the city.  We are passionate about the success of Liverpool, not just because large numbers of our students and staff are local people, but because we care deeply about our communities and our proud to be the civic university of the city.

We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead our people management at a time of great change and uncertainty in our sector and more widely in society.

Our successful candidate will be committed to the success of the individuals and communities we serve and will demonstrate a willingness to engage with staff, students and the wider community as a senior leader of the university.

LJMU values diversity and provides a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can fulfil their potential.

The university has appointed Anderson Quigley as our recruitment agency. Anderson Quigley is acting as an advisor to the University and an executive search process is being carried out by Anderson Quigley in addition to the public advertisement.

Should you wish to discuss the role in strict confidence, please contact Elliott Rae on +44(0)7584 078 534 or Sophie Rees on +44 (0)7719 313 982.

Full details regarding this position and how to apply can be found on our dedicated microsite at https://andersonquigley.com/ljmu-hrd/.

Please do not select the “apply” button on the University’s vacancy page.  Applications are to be submitted directly to Anderson Quigley, with full instructions contained on the microsite.

Closing date: noon on 9th December 2019.
