  • Lead a cross functional team across professional services to deliver key transformational project
  • Level 8-9, full-time appointment on a 12 month fixed term basis
  • Salary range: $96,934 to $118,721 plus 9.5% superannuation

The Team

UWA is making significant investments in modernising the way in which it delivers professional services to students, academics and professional staff. The Services Project has been established to improve the flexibility, responsiveness and efficiency of professional services. There is also a strong focus on improving the customer experience.

Under The Services Project, the TSM (Tiered Services Model) is being designed and implemented. The TSM is a large initiative to establish standard service catalogues, a process hierarchy and self-service via ‘Digital Front Door’

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Associate Director Services Optimisation, you will manage the consistent and successful delivery of the Tiered Services Model. This will be achieved through the planning, execution and delivery of the project on time, within budget, to specified quality and within scope. Throughout the lifecycle of this project, you will be responsible for leading the project from the business case to implementation and into embedment.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
  • Project management qualification preferably in Prince 2 and Agile
  • Substantial relevant leadership experience in managing multiple diverse teams to deliver successful project outcomes against tight schedules and shifting parameters.
  • Substantial experience in stakeholder management and engagement, together with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels and as a member of multiple teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level consultation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set and negotiate competing priorities and to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand the business context, apply sound judgement in staff, financial and vendor management
  • Ability to establish positive stakeholder relationships at all levels of the university, whilst always remaining fully customer focused
  • Working knowledge of the Higher Education sector is desirable
