Job Description
- Cultivate business partnerships to increase LCSI market visibility and thought leadership profile.
- Grow Social Space’s platforms, services and products to enhance the visibility of LCSI’s mission and vision.
- Oversee Social Space’s editorial content and publishing schedule. Broaden the reach of LCSI insights to extend the life of research and reports by creating more digestible pieces of content and a digital strategy to increase their reach.
- Lead campaigns to grow the LCSI–SS brand.
- Support increase in number and/or diversity of partnerships by overseeing the production of collateral and contributing to grant proposals.
- Manage industry media partnerships and engagement.
- Train and lead editorial and media teams.
- Manage communication and media vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree.
- Experience in the media industry, specifically in journalism, public relations, branding, marketing, communications.
- Experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven track record in integrated editorial work across a range of applications (books, journals, magazines, web, etc.).
- Highly proficient in content production, editing and writing.
- Familiarity with content management platforms and publishing tools.
- Avid reader of the news and online content, with a firm pulse on trends and consumer behaviours.
- Keen interest in social issues and human-interest stories.
- Strong ability to identify business opportunities that align with editorial strategy and brand value.
- Good understanding of social media, marketing and communications.
- Familiarity with an analytics-based approach, particularly on digital, to determine effectiveness of initiatives.
- Strong leadership qualities and programme management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to work across teams in a collaborative manner.
- Ability to work efficiently and lead teams under the pressure of strict deadlines.
