The Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University are recruiting two Postdoctoral Research Fellows in Sports Nutrition.
As part of the LJMU and Science in Sport (SiS) Performance Solutions Partnership, you will engage in a full-time and collaborative applied research programme that provides innovative performance solutions to SiS and their associated partners in endurance, weight-making and team sports. You will lead on all aspects of research planning, design, execution and dissemination to SiS and their partners as well as generate high quality publications in academic journals and conference communications.
A PhD in exercise metabolism and sport nutrition and experience of working with endurance or weight making athletes is essential. You should have a sound understanding of exercise physiology and extensive experience of laboratory based research assessing exercise performance and substrate metabolism (ranges from biopsies to indirect calorimetry) during a range of exercise modalities. You will have a record of published papers and are able to work in a multidisciplinary team. Project management experience would be beneficial.
