We are recruiting for a Strategic Projects Manager to join our dynamic, highly respected and fast-growing Development and Alumni Relations (DARO) team on a fixed term basis. As a team we are all motivated by the impact of our work and our shared vision to ‘unite our global community to inspire positive change and transform people’s lives’.

This new post will be part of devising and implementing strategic and operational support for a highly successful team at a time of extraordinary growth and success. You will work with DARO’s leadership team to design and deliver people and budget management programmes, providing expert project management support and insightful strategic input, informing DARO policy and strategy and enabling sustained growth in our fundraising and engagement programmes, helping to meet the University’s bold ambitions.

You will have a strong customer focussed outlook and strategic mindset, with experience of project and budget management as well as strategic and operational planning in an large, ambitious team, ideally in a fundraising and engagement environment. You will be proficient in balancing the broader aims and ambitions of the team with an ability to support highly nuanced, complex and individual programmes. You will be comfortable explaining complex information to colleagues from a range of backgrounds and providing training and support in a group or individual setting. You will form part of the Development Services management team and will be an ambassador for the use of data in building plans and strategies. You will have a strong belief in the importance of universities to society, and a good knowledge of the challenges facing fundraising and alumni engagement programmes.
