Post-doctoral Research Associate

The post-holder will work on a project which aims to translate FDOPA PET imaging from experimental medicine into clinical use to predict treatment response in patients with psychosis. Specifically, the project will involve quantifying abnormal dopamine synthesis from FDOPA PET imaging, and to implement a prediction model for treatment stratification in psychosis.

The project will utilise a large existing neuroimaging dataset of FDOPA PET acquired from patients with psychosis and access to linked clinical records to determine whether neuroimaging analysis can provide information about treatment response. The post will involve using neuroimaging software and statistical analysis tools to investigate these relationships by accounting for experimental variability and patient heterogeneity in real clinical practice.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a maximum of 24 months.

This is a full-time post – 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview.
