Brief Description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is the oldest academic unit within the College of Engineering with a long tradition on academic teaching and research excellence. Its undergraduate academic programs are ABET accredited and diverse, with tracks that focus on  electrical, electronic, communications,controls, instrumentation, automation, power, software, and computer Science. It also offers high-calibre graduate programs on both Masters and PhD level and has an established record of successfully completed projects in cutting-edge research themes.

Detailed Description

The department invites applications for faculty positions in all ranks and in any discipline relevant to Electrical Engineering and Computer . Particular emphasisis for candidates with a background in one or more of the following areas: computer science, software, machine learning, big data, antennas, security, and embedded systems.

The candidate is expected to have a strong research potential, demonstrated by relevant publications in high-impact journals, and teaching experience in above mentioned areas. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills.

Successful candidates are expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels,establish and maintain active research programs that lead to peer-reviewed publications in high-impact professional journals, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession.

Successful candidates are also expected to be involved in the matic research within one or more of the university research priority areas.

Job Requirements

A PhD or equivalent doctorate in related discipline from an accredited institution is required.  Preference will be given to candidates with education from and/or previous service in pre-eminent institutions of higher education.
