UTS Business School is currently looking to fill two positions as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Management and/or Human Resource Management. These are balanced academic roles which involve contributions to learning and teaching, research and scholarly activity, academic service and industry engagement activities

Detailed Description

UTS Business School, part of the University of Technology Sydney, delivers a broad range of degree programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and through its executive development programs. It is also recognised internationally for its innovative research. UTS Business School is the largest Faculty at UTS and one of the largest business schools in Australia, with over 10,000 students and 350 staff.

The Management Discipline at UTS is where quality and innovative teaching with relevant, recognised research combine to develop rewarding careers. Management at UTS provides a learning environment that enables students to understand the key elements of world-class management and their application in business, public and community organisations in Australia and globally. It is the largest of the five discipline groups within UTS Business School, with over 50 academics.

We are seeking to appoint two academics dedicated to intellectual excellence and educational achievement. You will have the opportunity to build an exciting and successful career at what is universally acknowledged as a dynamic and innovative university in central Sydney.

At UTS Business School’s Management Department you will work alongside other internationally renowned scholars committed to teaching and research that is theoretically sophisticated and industry engaged.

To be success in the role you will possess:

  • A PhD in Management or one of its enabling disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in:  
  • Management, including, but not limited to, areas of sustainability, strategy and organisational behavior; and/or
  • Human Resource Management, including, but not limited to, areas of industrial relations, the future of work, people analytics, and managing change 
  • Proven ability to publish research papers in quality journals.
  • A willingness to build productive professional relationships and work effectively as part of a team.

Please note that the Senior Lecturer role requires a higher level of experience in all aspects of a balanced academic’s role.

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range:

Lecturer (Level B) $105,021 - $124,298 pa

Senior Lecturer (Level C) $127,666 - $146,614 pa

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
