Job description
An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for four of registered nurses (Adult) to join our highly committed pre-registration adult nursing team as full time Lecturers.
Nursing and Trainee Nursing Associate programmes are delivered at a number of sites, including Preston, Burnley and Westlakes. It is anticipated that these post will be largely based in Preston.
The successful applicants will be focussed on delivery of the adult nursing pre-registration programme and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidates should be able to teach across a range of courses and be a module leader. The successful applicants will be enthusiastic, visionary, and keen to shape nurse education.
Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be educated to at least degree level. A master’s degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. Utilising planning and organisational skills, communication and interpersonal skills the successful applicants will be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Contemporary practice experience is essential, supported by teaching experience, and you will have a keen interest in developments in the field. Experience of mentoring, assessing and supervising student nurses in practice is required. You’ll be committed to the success of your pre-registration nursing students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in both the classroom and in practice.
