Bristol Veterinary School are looking for an epidemiologist/postdoctoral researcher to join a research project to investigate the causes of zoonotic tuberculosis (TB) in England. Tackling zoonotic TB has recently been identified as a neglected part of TB control, and this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an important and emerging area.
The work involves setting up study sites, recruitment, developing and implementing questionnaires, data collection and analysis and engaging with stakeholders. The ideal candidate would be independent and self-motivated with excellent communication skills and have experience or interest in conducting epidemiological studies. You should have an interest in tuberculosis, infectious diseases or zoonotic diseases, have links with or an understanding of the farming community, and have some knowledge of data collection and statistical modelling.
You will join a growing team of infectious disease epidemiologists and modellers at the University of Bristol, as well as working closely with Public Health England.
