University of Lincoln is looking to the future where we serve and develop our local, national and international communities by creating purposeful knowledge & research, confident & creative graduates and a dynamic & engaged workforce. We will achieve this through a culture of enterprise and innovation. Research & Enterprise is a central professional support department which works with staff, industry, external partners, students and graduates to drive:

A dynamic research environment

Increased levels of graduate employment and progression

Innovation & productivity levels throughout our region.

We use all these elements together and separately to build wide and deep external partnerships, further developing our role as an ‘active anchor institution’.

Since its establishment in 2011, Research & Enterprise has supported growth in activity and impact such as a doubling in external bidding activity and HEBCI related income and a fivefold increase in student employability interactions. The University has changed significantly during this period and with the development and implementation of a new University Strategic Plan responding to a changing external environment (e.g. Brexit, UKRI etc.) we now have exciting opportunities to creating a new model of support for our customers.

This position is an integral part of our Research and Industrial Partnerships team within Research and Enterprise, and will lead on gathering intelligence in areas of research and innovation. The role will support the four colleges of Arts, Science, Social Science and the Lincoln International Business School and will contribute to the University’s wider research goals, through identification of potential funding sources, providing expert advice on funder priority areas, working closely with academic colleagues to support the development and submission of external funding applications, stakeholder engagement and researcher development.

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive and innovative individual to this post, to help drive further success.
