Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University announces an open competition for the position Assistant professor, Laboratory for the Experimental Research of Religion, Department for the Study of Religions
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in the Study of Religions or in a similar subject in humanities or social sciences (Sociology, History, Anthropology etc.)
- specialization in evolutionary study of religion, cognitive science of religion and experimental research in the humanities/social sciences
- at least 7 articles published in journals indexed in the WoS database (at least three as the first author)
- at least one year long postdoctoral position at a foreign university or research institution (does not include Slovakia)
- advanced competence in the field of statistical data analysis with a focus on inter-cultural research
- experience with collecting experimental data in the field
- experience with the grant writing and management of grant projects
- ability to teach in the Czech language; proved by a certificate (at least C1 level) in the case of non-native speakers.
- proficiency in written and spoken English
Expected responsibilities:
- conduction and coordination of interdisciplinary research in the field of experimental humanities
- supervision of BA and MA theses
- grant writing
