Role Description

Cranfield University is an international centre of excellence in research and postgraduate teaching in strategic areas of science, technology, engineering and management, directed by the need of industry. We attract 4,500 masters and doctoral students each year from over 100 countries.

Education Services provides a wide range of support to the University's Schools. The department’s strategic objectives are to provide a professional and efficient service to the University's Schools in all of these areas.  A number of staff are embedded within a school and/or theme, and are focused directly on the front line delivery of course administration and student support.

As a Student and Academic Support Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of allocated academic administration and student support relating to taught and/or research students and for ensuring high levels of customer support.

The post holder will hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths. Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative office environment, using modern office equipment and experience of data entry are essential.

In addition, the post holder will be IT literate in all Microsoft applications, email, internet and database applications; excellent communication skills and attention to detail is essential; an adaptable team member who on occasions is able to work on own initiative, unsupervised with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic. A firm understanding of good customer service delivery is a must.

Previous experience of working with computer based records systems and preferably an understanding of higher education administration are desirable.
