An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lecturer to join our award-winning Counselling and Psychological Therapies Division within the School of Community Health & Midwifery. This post is available full time.
The successful applicant must be a qualified, experienced and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist who will assist in the development and delivery of the new MSc Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and other courses. The successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to and lead activities of the School and University in teaching, learning, assessment, research and income generation.
A thorough understanding of CBT and related professions is essential. You will contribute and lead a variety of modules at both under and post graduate levels. In addition, the successful applicant will have a keen interest in taking forward academic and research/enterprise developments in the field of CBT and psychological therapies and so excellent networking skills are a requirement for the post.
Teaching experience and leadership in Higher Education is essential, as is a good honours degree. A teaching qualification and BABCP accreditation is desirable. You will have a flexible & innovative approach to teaching and excellent presentation & communications skills as well as an ability to work collaboratively are core requirements for this post.
