Full-time/Permanent

Working in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Automotive Engineering, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in delivery of engineering programmes. You will join a School with high levels of teaching quality and student satisfaction (ranked in the Guardian University Guide 2020 in the country's top three for our courses in Mechanical Engineering).

The candidate must be able to contribute to the delivery of Project Management modules to various cohorts of students including part time industrial students.The candidate must be fluent with Engineering Project Management tools and techniques. 

The candidate should have the ability to enhance and improve the current teaching materials and virtual learning platform and as such should have certification of either Agile Project Management or PRINCE2 (Foundation and Practitioner). Conversely,it would be advantageous for the candidate to have a working knowledge of all the areas an "Engineering Project Manager" would deal with. Whilst not totally essential, recent experience of project management in an engineering organisation would be beneficial as would membership of the Association for Project Management (APM).

You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do andwill be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation and support the school's research culture.  You must bewilling to work flexibly and promote and support international partnerships, as well as potentially deliver teaching onsite at one of our international partners.

The candidate should be qualified to PhD level in arelevant subject. Alternatively, candidates with relevant industrial experienceto an equivalent level are also encouraged to apply

Experienceof working on applied research projects or contracts, as well as participationin professional practice/consultancy will be advantageous and successful candidates will have the opportunity to become a member of one of our Research Centres. 

The position is also open to candidates who wish to focus on teaching practice,development and management.
