About the role

The Senior Research Fellow (Health Impact Assessment) is located within the Healthy Liveable Cities Research Group within the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies (GUSS). You will manage and complete work on existing grants, collaborate with research teams and build and manage partnerships in the School, across the University and with external stakeholders.

You will be required to develop, engage and lead high quality-built environment and transport health impact research projects and activities, such as exploring thresholds for interventions and economic evaluations, in line with the Universitys research strategy. Furthermore, you will make independent and original contributions to research in your area of expertise.

About You

As Senior Research Fellow you will be expected to have an emerging nationally recognised research track record in transport-related built environment and health impact assessment and economic evaluation including a record of high-quality research outputs in good journals.

In addition, you will bring to the role your experience in research leadership with the ability to build and develop collaborative research teams and with external stakeholders. You will have the ability to undertake and oversee quantitative analyses, mentor and build capacity in academic staff to deliver high quality outcomes, engage with stakeholders to translate research findings and attract research funding.

It is also expected that you will have experience in supervising higher degree by research students to maximise research performance.
