This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Student, Library and Academic Services senior management team.
Passionate about the student experience and operating at a strategic level you will lead and champion all aspects of Library Services for the University.
You will lead and manage professional Library teams to provide a comprehensive service to students, academics and other stakeholders. Our Library provision covers two main areas which are our Library Learning and Research Services team which encompasses Learning Partnerships, Customer Experience, Scholarly Publications, Skills Development, Bibliometrics and Research Data and also our Library Collection and Digital Services team which includes Collections, Discovery and Access and Content Delivery and Copyright. With a focus on ensuring excellent customer service and the achievement of key targets you will have the ability to cultivate excellent working relationships with external partners and with senior colleagues across the University.
Student, Library and Academic Services is Northumbria’s comprehensive student and academic-facing service, supporting students and academic staff across the student lifecycle. We deliver a customer service excellent range of professional support including Ask4Help, Careers and Employment, Student Progress, Student Life and Wellbeing, University Library, Registry Records and Returns, Academic Support, and Quality and Teaching Excellence.
