  • Salary range: $69,369 - $93,569 pro rata per annum (plus super)

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant and Research Associate with qualifications in psychology, occupational health, management and/or human resource management to undertake research related support activities to a leading team of national and international researchers. You will join the Asia Pacific Centre for Work Health and Safety, a recognised World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre in Occupational Health which has recently merged with the Centre for Workplace Excellence (CWeX) on a project examining digital communication, work stress and well-being in Australian universities.

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Grant (DP190100853), Digital Communication and Work Stress in Universities, will investigate the impact of the unconstrained growth of online digital technology and 24/7 connectivity, and the best strategies (organisation/ team/ individual) to develop an engaged and productive digital workforce. In addition to assisting university management to attain healthier work environments, the project is likely to have translational importance for other Australian workers.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicants will have a PhD qualification in a relevant discipline.

You will have highly developed research, analytical, information literacy and report writing skills, and experience writing up research findings and actively engaging in collaborative research practices.

You will be able to demonstrate skills in quantitative research using statistical packages and have experience in the use of qualitative methods such as interviews and focus groups.

You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse range of people developed through your experience actively engaging with the community in outreach activities.
