Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 498836), to commence as soon as possible but not later than November 2, 2019 for nine months.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related discipline. They should have strong competency in qualitative data analysis and design (including content and thematic analysis), experience in survey design and implementation related to the topics of diversity and social inclusion (i.e. equity climate surveys), and a good command of written and spoken English. Those with practical experience in research on higher education internationalisation, diversity and social inclusion are preferred.

The appointee will work with an interdisciplinary team, conducting a study of diversity and inclusion in Hong Kong higher education. He/She will assist the project team to plan, coordinate, and implement a campus-wide programme of research including research design, document and policy review and analysis, preparation of research data collection and data analysis. He/She will also make significant contributions to the preparation of the professional study report and public dissemination materials, and supervise research assistants on the study team. There will be ample opportunities to work with diverse research professionals and leaders in higher education.
