LEARNING SCIENTISTOpen Learning-Playful Journey Lab, to join the Playful Journey Lab, a group that develops playful ways to support future-ready skills through innovative assessment and learning designs. Will play a major role in supporting the lab’s design-based research projects, leading implementations in classrooms, collecting and analyzing data, and guiding team members using the science of learning principles and research methods. Will also contribute more broadly, ensuring the lab’s work is building upon the body of the learning sciences literature. Responsibilities wil include leading and coordinating research projects, conducting literature reviews and synthesizing what is known in the field related to specific project needs, and publishing journal articles and presenting at conferences.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in learning sciences, curriculum and instruction, cognitive science, educational psychology, or related area; at least five years of experience designing and conducting design-based research, implementation studies, and development of instructional interventions; experience working with K-12 students and educators from formal and/or informal learning environments; and a proven record of leading and managing projects with interdisciplinary teams and of scholarly work and academic publication. Preference will be given to those with design-based education research experience in the context of playful learning and educational technology.

This is a one-year appointment with the potential of renewal depending upon project needs.
