Lincoln International Business School Exec Office

Location:  Lincoln

Closing Date:   Monday 04 November 2019
Interview Date:   Friday 29 November 2019

Lincoln International Business School (LIBS) seeks a new Director of Education and Students who will play a central role in ensuring that the School continues on its successful trajectory.   The School provides an outstanding student experience – as recognised through its NSS performance – and has recently completed a portfolio review. It has an increasing international footprint and an improving research profile. It is also increasingly known as an innovator in online learning, with much of its new developments being taken on by the broader university.

Due to the promotion of the current incumbent, a new Director of Education and Students is sought who will ensure continued improvement of teaching and learning.   The appointee will develop and lead strategic initiatives across the School to support the continued enhancement of all aspects of the student educational experience, and will coordinate the School’s responses to metrics and surveys (e.g. NSS, PTES, TEF, LEO).  The role contributes as a full member of the School’s top team and will engage across the range of activities; as well as successful core programmes.

Ideal candidates will be experienced in leading education and innovation in a business school or related disciplinary environment.   They will have a strategic eye to the future of higher education, and will combine this with an ability to influence and persuade both academic and professional colleagues to deliver change.  The successful candidate will have a real passion for T&L innovation and be an advocate of student-centred education.  S/he will have a strong team ethos with an approachable nurturing style of leadership that will inspire and support students and staff to maximise their potential
