We are seeking an experienced and talented epidemiologist with a keen interest in lifecourse epidemiology. The postholder will join the world-leading MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit (IEU; http://www.bristol.ac.uk/integrative-epidemiology/), working primarily on the unique Born in Bradford cohort (BiB; https://borninbradford.nhs.uk/).

The postholder will use advanced causal and prediction analyses to understand the role of intrauterine and early infancy exposures on ethnic differences in growth, adiposity, body composition and markers of cardiometabolic health (including multiple metabolites) from infancy to ~age 9/10. They will also explore causes of ethnic differences in cardiometabolic health in adults.

The successful candidate will have expertise in epidemiology and analysis of large population datasets and of using advanced methods such as multilevel modelling, instrumental variable analyses and machine learning methods. You will have a post-graduate degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or a related quantitative discipline.

This role is offered on an open-ended basis with funding confirmed until 31st December 2022.  Appointment will be made at either Research Associate (grade I) or Senior Research Associate (grade J) level depending on experience.
