About the role

The University has a very ambitious growth and leadership agenda and is looking to empower an outstanding candidate to lead this journey.

The Academic Director, SCU Online is a senior academic leadership position, responsible for the strategic development and operational leadership of SCU Online and its academic programs. The Academic Director will work closely with the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), School and College Deans and academic staff in spearheading SCU Online course development. This position is responsible for the growth of the SCU Online business and its reputation for quality and an exceptional student experience.

The Director has responsibility for a substantial portfolio of programs drawn from across the University, and has authority to make decisions and influence operations for the SCU Online population as a whole.

About you

We are seeking applications from experienced academic leaders who can lead excellence in tertiary education.  To be successful in this role you will have the proven ability to build capability of staff and promote strong academic performance, as well as foster a spirit of collaboration with those working in a traditional academic delivery model.  You will be an experienced influencer and innovator in online delivery models, and will have the ability to champion and lead continuous improvement in a commercial timeline to effect change.

Candidates should have a proven capacity for entrepreneurship and a passion for digital technology and new frontiers of online pedagogy.
