The Physics Department, University of Lancaster is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer, preferably from a Mechanical Engineering background. The primary tasks of the post will be to develop and maintain QA documentation to ensure the APA (Anode Plane Assemblies) meet the required quality and acceptance criteria both before and after transportation to the USA. You will collaborate with QA Engineers from FNAL and  Daresbury Lab to develop the QA documentation for successful reporting across the all involved institutes. They will also be responsible for ensuring sufficient documentation is in place to specify and monitor supplier and internal team quality, working closely with an STFC Quality Control Engineer. An additional task is to work with a UK industry to develop QA procedures for the components of the APA, including frames, wires, electronic boards and many others

These technically complex components are structures for the two 17kt DUNE far detector modules, and after submerged in liquid argon will need to be operational for over 20 years.
