About the position

The Office of Commercial Services is seeking to appoint an experienced, professional and people focussed Stewarding Supervisor. This is a hands-on role that is responsible for running shifts, supervision of stewarding staff, ensuring stock are at appropriate levels and that hygiene standards are adhered to including issuing of cleaning chemicals to all areas.

Reporting to the Head Chef, the Stewarding Supervisor is also responsible for being an integral player in working as part of a cohesive team passing on information at the beginning and end of shift or working singularly as required to deliver high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Please note that this position will be required to supervise the evening shifts on campus on a casual basis for the duration of the semester.

About the person:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a high volume, hands on food and beverage environment along with excellent communication skills and an extremely strong customer service ethos. This position requires strong supervisory skills along with the ability to problem solve and think laterally.

The Certificate 2 - Workplace trainer qualification will be highly regarded, as will previous experience in Chemical handling.
