Salary £33,309 to £37,127 per annum (with additional performance related pay up to £46,409 per annum)

You will plan and carry out research as required, contributing to the advancement of the discipline and the discovery of new phenomena, actions and events. You will supervise MSc/PhD students and provide academic and pastoral tuition to ensure successful completion of their courses.
A Degree in a field of science related to the area of fuels and petroleum is essential.
You will have experience of advancing technology in chemistry or physics; managing courses and projects and delivering to time and budget; working with Technology Enhanced Learning.
Knowledge of the following is essential:
- Subject matter expertise in fuels and petroleum
- Sound knowledge of opportunities for novel developments in the context of your area
- Understanding of the contemporary challenges facing the defence sector in the UK and further afield
A PGCert in Academic Practice and/or membership of the Higher Education Authority is desirable.
