Ashesi University’s Ag. Dean of Engineering is seeking full-time and part-time faculty to teach in the department.

Ashesi’s mission is to propel an African renaissance by educating ethical, entrepreneurial leaders with the concern, courage, and compassion needed to transform their continent. Ashesi is a recognised centre of educational excellence and innovation in Ghana and is a high-impact contributor in Africa’s higher education landscape.

Ashesi-educated engineers must be ethical and responsible and must discern the short- and long-term effects of their decisions on society and the environment. They also have to be leaders who can communicate their ideas and work with teams to solve problems.

We are looking for faculty who themselves are makers, hands-on, and are comfortable with workshop fabrication machinery (manual and/or CNC mills, lathes) as well as digital fabrication equipment, like 3D printers, etcetera.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • Familiarity with the liberal arts method of instruction (undergraduate education at a liberal arts college is a plus)
