Our programs in English, Global Cultures and Languages, History and Classics, and Philosophy and Gender Studies provide opportunities to interpret human culture and behaviour, from different perspectives and periods, and to understand your own experience, identity and values. Our School’s programs contribute significantly to the University of Tasmania’s internationally acclaimed research culture. This exciting opportunity will suit an accomplished academic leader or an academic with recognised leadership attributes seeking a management and administrative challenge. The Head of School contributes high level knowledge and experience, energy and distinguished leadership attributes in the pursuit of excellence and achievement demonstrated through experience in developing and leading academic staff and programs and translating strategy to positive outcomes. You will have a record of research and expertise in an area of the School’s programs; management expertise, including sound people, resource and financial management skills; and academic experience and qualifications commensurate with this senior academic level.
