  • Part-time (0.6FTE) position for 2 years
  • Level 7 ($86,801 - $96,427 pro rata) plus 17% superannuation

The Team

The Raine Medical Research Foundation is the University’s largest private bequest for medical research.  Established in 1957 through a Deed of Trust, it has a Capital Investment portfolio valued at $41m (2018) with annual research allocations of $1.3m. 

The Foundation has a long-standing commitment to fund only scientific excellence and has implemented an awards policy that is fair, equitable and transparent. Total funds awarded to-date are in excess of $50m.  These funds are allocated for a wide range of research activities that extend from laboratory-based medicine to clinical research for translation into better health outcomes for the community. These programs include Priming Grants, The Raine Study, WA Department of Health/Raine Clinician Research Fellowships, Joint Research Grants, Visiting Professorships, International Postdoctoral Fellowships, Scholarships, and Prizes.

The Raine Medical Research Foundation has an established record of working closely and collaboratively with its external funding partners and stakeholders for the advancement of medical research, and it represents the University through leadership and a strong capacity to build relationships and deliver excellence.

About the opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and administration of research funding rounds. This will include researching and coordinating international reviewer selection, while ensuring the Foundations reputation for equitable and transparent review processes is upheld. 

About you

To succeed in this role, it is critical that you possess experience in research grants administration. Experience with Committees is desirable, as would be a background in medical research.
