About the role

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio is responsible for enhancing the quality of teaching, learning, the student experience, internationalisation, indigenous education and employability outcomes. La Trobe Learning and Teaching (LTLT) is situated within the portfolio and works in partnership with La Trobe’s Divisions, Colleges and Schools to endhance learning and teaching.

We now have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Senior Coordinator, Learning Environments to support the implementation of the La Trobe Learning and Teaching Plan 2018 – 2022 and day-to-day operations.  Your main responsibilities will be focused around providing expert advice and support on digital technologies and educational innovation. Close collaboration with other central units and Colleges to successfully scope and deliver projects and achieve strategic outcomes will be an important part of this role.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position you will be passionate about ensuring students from diverse backgrounds have access to high-quality learning experience. You will have a relevant undergraduate qualification and experience in higher education, preferably in digital education. Your understanding of the intersection of pedagogy and technology and how to ensure the best fit between pedagogical requirements and technology in learning design is imperative. You will also have demonstrated experience in the successful coordination and implementation of strategic projects including planning, communication, implementation, negotiation, evaluation and reporting.

In addition, you will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication skills including the ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with a range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
