Applications are invited for the post of Media Arts Technician in the Department of Media Arts.
Led by award-winning world-class experts in the field and practising professionals, we are committed to achieving the highest standards in both the study and practice of screen media. Students on our undergraduate and taught-post graduate programmes produce a range of creative production work, engaging in real-world practicalities of film making in screen fiction, documentary and interactive forms of storytelling. Many of our graduates make a valuable contribution to the creative industries in a broad range of careers.
Working as a member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for giving training and advisory support to students studying production practice across a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate course modules.
You will be an excellent communicator, a team-player, and be committed to delivering a high quality service to our students. You will have extensive experience in the film and television production industry, with operational familiarity in location filming work, ideally in the camera department, or in using professional creative applications, such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Da Vinci Resolve, etc., Your experience and commitment to continuing professional development will enable you to provide training to students during scheduled practical classes and tutorials, as well as offering advisory support during service hours.
This is a full time and permanent post, available from September 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. This post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London, with occasional requirement to work at our Bedford Square site in Bloomsbury.
