Role Description

We are looking for a Procurement and Contracts Officer with significant experience in a procurement environment.  You will have practical experience of developing supplier selection and contract award decision criteria’s, drafting technical specifications, contracts, SLAs, conducting pre and post tender briefings and tailoring contract terms and conditions.

You must be able to demonstrate a broad base of experience across a wide range of different categories including Technology and Engineering, MRO, IT & Telecoms and Marketing Services. You will have the ability to communicate and engage with key stakeholders across the University conveying in-depth knowledge of best procurement concepts and be customer focused in your approach to work.   You will have an analytical mind-set that can yield value creation through applying analytical processes.

You will have strong problem solving, organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of related procurement legislation, including Public Contract Regulations is essential for this role. Previous category management experience is desirable.  The PRINCE 2 Project Management qualification and knowledge would be advantageous.

Ideally you will be CIPS qualified or working towards the CIPS qualifications alternatively you will be able to demonstrate equivalent relevant work experience.
