The Faculty of Business and Law is now seeking a Dean of the Newcastle Business School to lead the University’s ambitious suite of leading-edge degrees that are informed by research and interconnected to industry. Based at the University’s CBD Campus, the School is housed within the NeW Space building, a $95m state-of-the-art building harnessing the latest in technology and innovation in teaching and learning enabling the School to deliver a world-class student experience. The School is accredited with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and is currently working towards EQUIS accreditation.

As a priority, the School is seeking candidates who are externally engaged with industry, at the local, national and international level and understand the ever-growing need for universities to work in partnership with industry for the benefit of students and research. Experience developing innovative and creative curriculum to enable students to be creative thinkers and globally engaged is essential as well as evidence of establishing links to industry. Applicants should have demonstrated leadership and proven experience of leading and inspiring colleagues and the ability to work in collaboration with those beyond their own area of expertise. It is expected that candidates will have a strong track record of research aligned to the discipline clusters within the School including Accounting and Finance, Economics and Politics, Management, Marketing and Tourism.
