The University of Bristol’s Catering Department has embarked on an exciting time of change. We are seeking a commercially minded, industry professional to join the management team to help deliver our new objectives.  Using the experience and knowledge gained managing a complex multi-site operation, the successful candidate will possess excellent people management and interpersonal skills, excellent commercial knowledge and be able to grow sales and bottom line while keeping the standards and quality high.

A cluster manager has an existing portfolio spanning retail, bars and halls of residential halls of catering.  Working closely with the GM, Senior head chef and the rest of the management team, you will manage the day-to-day cluster catering services in accordance with the Division’s catering strategy, aims, objectives and policies. The post holder will be responsible for the operational delivery and product service levels across the University’s multi-site portfolio of catering services that includes in-house catering, 3rd party contracts/franchise while also upholding the Source brand standards and delivering departmental objectives. The focus of these roles is responsibility for all Catering Clusters containing; catering units, retail catering; café & bar services; event and conference spaces. Managing the operational teams to deliver faultless jobs while meeting student and client expectations, working with the whole team to ensure high customer satisfaction.
