Full Time Post: 36.25 hours per week
Salary: £42,036 - £48,676 per annum
UCA prepares its students for employment and leadership in the creative industries through the provision of an intensive, studio- based education across all areas of the creative arts, business and technology. Key to our success is our research culture, which spans the university’s creative arts disciplines (Crafts and Design; Fine Art and Photography; Fashion; Film, Media and Performing Arts; Communication Design; Architecture; Business for the Creative Industries). The university is home to research centres including the Crafts Study Centre, the International Textiles Research Centre, and the Centre for Sustainable Design, and to a community of staff researchers and nearly 50 research degree students. REF 2014 noted a strong, collaborative, sustainable and vital research environment, with over 50 per cent of submitted outputs being judged to be internationally excellent, with world-leading impact in the areas of photography and textile art.
UCA is recruiting for a Research Manager to manage and support the development of staff research, including internal and external funding applications, research ethics processes, researcher development events and, crucially, our submission for REF 2021. The Research Manager will lead a small team in the Research Office, ensuring that internal and external stakeholders are provided with expert and professional support in the development of UCA’s research culture and activities.
