A Full Time Procurement Manager role has become available to within the University’s Procurement Department which is part of the University’s Finance Services Division Office.

The Procurement Manager role is managing one of the commodity areas to which the procurement team is responsible for, including but not limited to; Science, Technology, Engineering and Vet and Medical Equipment and Services, professional services such as recruitment, catering, legal services, travel, IT, furniture and workwear.

The post holder will manage tenders, internal and external stakeholder communication and engagement, produce commodity strategies developing areas for savings and ensuring adherence to the UoB procurement policy and financial regulations. This role is also required to support the wider team especially the Assistant Procurement Managers.

This is a great opportunity for someone who looking to develop their procurement skills with a view to developing a career in Procurement.

The role will be challenging and varied in a stimulating environment, and benefits from working as part of a busy and hard-working team.
You should have a sound knowledge and experience of public sector procurement, working independently, managing deadlines and priorities and good communication skills. MCIPS is an advantage or studying towards. You will have proven office and administrative experience gained through working in busy and demanding environments. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
