Job description

Working in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Automotive Engineering, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in delivery of our Human Factors programmes. You will join a School with high levels of teaching quality and student satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking teaching, curriculum development and course management to support the School's activities in Human Factors, particularly the highly successful MSc in Human Factors in Aviation (by distance learning) and the new MSc in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles.

You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation and support the school's research culture. You must be willing to work flexibly and promote and support international partnerships, as well as potentially deliver teaching onsite atone of our international partners.

Successful candidates will been courage to become an active member of one of our Research Centres.

The position is also open to candidates who wish to focus on teaching practice, development and management.

Experience of working on applied research projects or contracts, as well as participation in professional practice/consultancy will be advantageous.

The candidate should be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subject (for example Human Factors/ Ergonomics; Applied/Occupational Psychology or Human-Computer Interaction). Candidates with relevant industrial experience to an equivalent level are also encouraged to apply.
