The University of Lincoln ICT department has create a new role of Security, Compliance and Administration Manager. The role will manage a central team within the ICT Department and report to the Director of ICT. Security and compliance run through every aspect of the operation of the ICT department and it is essential that the operation of all ICT services are delivered in a manner that protects the University and in particular protects all personal and confidential data and information. Information security will by a primary focus of this role.

The ICT department itself is a significant business operation and the post holder is expected to have a good understanding of the business operation of the department, the services it delivers to the University and the relationships in place with the customers and suppliers of the department. The post holder will also be responsible for managing the central team that provides the administrative support to the department, there the post holder should have a good understanding of administration and financial management within a large and complex ICT environment supporting a University.

This role will actively contribute to supporting the successful operation of the ICT department and providing an excellent experience for all members of the department, its customers, it suppliers and other partners. Therefore willingness to contribute at all levels, strong information security skills, ability to multi-task, excellent work ethic, the ability to successfully collaborate with and motivate colleagues across multiple teams, and an ability to communicate effectively are essential for this role.

Key Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Experience of working within a large and complex organisation
  • Information security skills, experience of data protection, compliance, relevant legislation and regulation within a complex IT environment
  • Experience of working within and leading non directly managed cross disciplinary teams
  • Financial and budget management
  • You will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the business
