About QUT

QUT is a major Australian university with a global outlook and a ‘real world’ focus. We are one of the nation’s fastest growing research universities and our courses are in high demand. Our graduates include eight Rhodes Scholars, five of these awarded in the past six years.

We are an ambitious and collaborative institution that seeks to equip our students and graduates with the skills they will need in an increasingly disrupted and challenged world. We are transforming the student experience we offer our 50,000 students and we place a premium on the international and national accreditation of our various professional degrees.

Further information about QUT can be obtained from the website at www.qut.edu.au.

The QUT Blueprint 5 is our institutional strategic plan. It identifies major priorities, articulates broad strategies, and drives greater coherence and coordination of our efforts.

Our overall vision for the future is:

  • to provide outstanding learning environments and programs that lead to excellent outcomes for graduates, enabling them to work in and guide a diverse and complex world characterised by increasing change
  • to undertake high-impact research and development in selected areas, at the highest international standards, reinforcing our applied emphasis and securing significant commercial and practical benefits for the community and for our partners
  • to strengthen and extend our strategic partnerships with professional and broader communities to reflect both our academic ambitions and our civic responsibility.

About the division

The Division of International leads QUT’s international outreach.

QUT International works with all faculties and divisions in order to continue to develop a diverse and sustainable international cohort at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. QUT International leads marketing and recruitment activity, market development, manages protocol and incoming visits including visits from study abroad and exchange students, manages relationships with agents and monitors their contracts, and serves as the central point for the establishment and management of the University’s international relations as expressed in various memoranda of understanding/agreements.

QUT International College provides high quality pathway options for International students to progress to QUT award programs.

QUT Precincts, the Gardens Cultural Precinct and the Creative Industries Precinct, provide a unique opportunity for QUT to engage with the community. These sites of activity offer the opportunity of effecting a community interface on campus with international communities in innovative ways, including through shared installations and partnerships as well as hosting events, exhibitions and performances that extend and enhance engagement with other cultures.

QUT International leads QUT’s international engagement and strategic positioning.
