LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN DECOMMISSIONING

The School of Law is looking to appoint a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Decommissioning.
Applications are invited from candidates who can demonstrate an excellent research profile, as evidenced by publications in leading academic conferences and journals. Candidates will also have the potential for sustaining a funded research programme at the University of Aberdeen.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven research interest in, or at least a clear and credible potential to undertake, high quality legal research within applied context of offshore decommissioning.
For a Senior Lecturer position, candidates should demonstrate a sustained track record of successful grant applications, research student supervision and undergraduate/taught postgraduate teaching.
For appointments at Lecturer level, salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 salary scale (£40,792 - £48,676 per annum).
For appointment made at Senior Lecturer level, salary will be at the
appropriate point on Grade 8 salary scale (£51,630 - £58,089 per annum) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and a 3 year probation period.
