The Division of Student Experience and Life is responsible for the delivery of a range of services and engagement activities which provide an outstanding UWA student experience. The team is responsible for student administration and front facing services, health and wellbeing services and co-curricular activities designed to enhance the overall learning experience. These services are measured by student satisfaction scores, retention and success rates and the employability of graduates. The Division is integrated across the institution and needs to deliver on the brand promise at UWA.
About the opportunity
You will have a significant role in the planning and development of strategic initiatives to provide a consistent and successful delivery of activities and services within the division. You will have responsibly to finalise and implement the 2020-25 student experience strategy and assist the Director to analyse business requirements, synthesis data, articulate rational for change and design solutions that deliver business value. Success is achieved through relationship management and alignment with stakeholders across the university to deliver a package of activities, which are in line with the overall Student Experience Strategy.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you possess significant experience in a role focused on strategic planning and implementation, with a track record of successfully achieving delivery of tangible outcomes. You may have acquired this experience in industries other than Higher Education, although you must be able to demonstrate a keen interest of education and understanding of the key issues related to student experience. You will also possess demonstrated leadership skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and project management skills. Industry engagement experience would be highly regarded, as would be a sound understanding of student employability.
