Platt Student Performing Arts House is seeking a qualified individual to oversee technical operations for student groups in the Performing Arts Council at the University of Pennsylvania. Successful candidates will be able to provide design and technical advice, safety procedures, training workshops, sound equipment, and shop scheduling to student groups for over 70 shows per year. The Technical Advisor will be able to manage the performing arts shop, work with campus partners in various performance spaces, and manage a budget and material procurement.

A Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience with Technical Theater Design, Lighting and Sound Design, Scene Shop, and a background in working with college students highly preferred.
