The School of Vocational Business Education (VBE) offers a broad range of industry relevant, globally oriented, applied training and vocational education Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Associate Degree levels.

The Role

The Program Coordinator, Financial and Legal Services, is mainly responsible for supporting all aspects of the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, customised, high quality vocational education and training programs and services in Financial Services, Financial Planning and the suite of Legal programs. With a focus on continuous improvement of learning and assessment in response to changing demands and opportunities, you will assist in the re-development of programs incorporating blended, online and practical work-based learning and customised programs for industry. You will work closely with the VBE Executive and Leadership groups and network with VE colleagues in other Schools at RMIT.

About You

You will bring to the role effective leadership and interpersonal skills relevant to teaching and management environments. Your skills and experience in vocational education teaching and management coupled with relevant industry experience will be critical to your success. Furthermore, you will demonstrate capability in contemporary vocational pedagogy and scholarship.

Mandatory

A qualification in the TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the units: TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A and TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B and a current Working with Children Check.

A Diploma of VET (essential for appointment at Teacher level 5) and degree or post-degree qualification in Financial Planning or equivalent are also highly regarded. You will be required to enrol into this Diploma within your probation period if you do not have this qualification.
